The DA has released a statement confirming and noting the questions it has submitted to the State Capture Commission, which are to be answered by President Ramaphosa.
Federal Leader of the Democratic Alliance (DA), John Steenhuisen took to Twitter to circulate a statement he penned. The statement acted as confirmation that the DA’s questions, submitted to the State Capture Commission, were received.
The questions are directed at President Cyril Ramaphosa, who is set to appear before the commission on four days in April. The confirmation from the commission stipulated that his sittings will be in his capacity as the first citizen of the country. However, the questions from the DA also focus on his role as the chairperson of the ANC’s cadre deployment committee.
The statement noted 24 questions that the DA has put forward for Ramaphosa to answer. While the questions might have been received by the commission, only time will tell whether they will be answered. Ramaphosa is set to appear on Thursday, 22 April 2021, and Friday, 23 April 2021. He will then return on Wednesday, 28 April 2021, and Thursday, 29 April 2021.
