Highlands Park has announced that tickets for its Absa Premiership encounter against Kaizer Chiefs have been sold out.
The two sides meet at Tembisa’s Makhulong Stadium on Tuesday evening, 2 October 2018, at 19h30.
The 15,000-seater venue is expected to accommodate 13,000 people tomorrow night, with 2,000 tickets not allowed to be sold due to safety restrictions.
The Lions of the North made an appeal to those without tickets to stay away from the match venue.
“Important notice! Highlands Park vs Kaizer Chiefs tickets are sold out at Computicket. Sold Out! Sold Out! Makhulong Stadium takes 15,000 spectators and 13,000 safety capacity tickets, and all have been sold out. If (you) don’t have a ticket, don’t come near the stadium!” tweeted the club.
Chiefs supporters are expected to flock to Tembisa as Giovanni Solinas’s side looks to claim top spot on the standings after nine games.
Highlands recently suffered its first defeat of the season away to Free State Stars, while it collected four points from a possible six at home this season.
Meanwhile, the Soweto giants is on a three-game winning streak in the league and has yet to suffer a defeat in five matches on the road.
In head-to-head duels, Chiefs has beaten Highlands with a 1-0 scoreline on both occasions that they’ve met previously, back in the 2016/17 season.
It is expected that police will be out in full force to avoid any potential dangers, following the PSL’s partnership struck with the authorities last month.
