Compensation Fund automates Letter of Good Standing process

The Compensation Fund has confirmed that it has automated the process for receiving a Letter of Good Standing, as registered employers can now generate the letter online.

The Department of Employment and Labour took to Twitter on Thursday, 7 January 2021, to announce that the Compensation Fund has automated of the process of generating a Letter of Good Standing for employers.

This means that employers no longer need to visit a labour centre to have the letter printed, as it can now be done online.

The department stated, “To be in good standing with the fund, Compensation Fund registered employer’s return of earnings and payments must be up to date. And of course, penalties are incurred on late payment and interests are also charged on revolving balance.”

Moreover, “The letter of good standing can only be issued once in a year or monthly, depending on special arrangements made with the Fund and it is now automated.”

The service is already available, as the post advised employers to visit the website to generate a Letter of Good Standing online.
