Chirwa engages on matter of EFF’s legal representatives
Naledi Chirwa has come to the defence of Mbuyiseni Ndlozi and Julius Malema, following the EFF leader’s utterances about incompetence and his choice to use a White-owned legal firm for his assault case.
The Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) Member of Parliament (MP), Naledi Chirwa took to Twitter on Friday, 30 October 2020, to defend the party’s Commissar, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi and its Commander-In-Chief (CIC), Julius Malema. This was in response to the mounting backlash that Malema has been receiving for suggesting that Black lawyers are incompetent, particularly compared to their White counterparts.
Ndlozi made the criticism of Malema’s sentiments worse with his own series of tweets. He attempted to use Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi as an example of a lawyer groomed through the structures of the EFF. This is despite Ngcukaitobi having experience from before his affiliation with the EFF.
Chirwa suggested that the lambast of Malema is hypocritical, supposing that Black people already complain about the services received from cashiers and nurses of colour.
See the posts below.
It’s weird to see y’all being upset over CIC’s utterances of Black lawyers when you’re also the same people who complain about the service you get from Black cashiers, nurses, police… even going as far as saying they treat white clients better. It is not wrong to call that out.

But that’s not the argument or what’s being brought forth. What’s being said is that the EFF has always supported and continues to support Black lawyers. That the critique is laced with good intentions. Le gana eng? https://t.co/qxvCDEMYGu
