South African rapper Cassper Nyovest’s music video for ‘Check On You’, a collaboration with Nigerian superstar Davido, exceeded 1 million views on Saturday, 7 April 2018.
Multi-award winner and one of the biggest South African hip-hop artists, Cassper Nyovest (real name Refiloe Maele Phoolo), achieved a number often a barrier for many local artists on YouTube with the official music video for his song ‘Check On You’, surpassing 1 million views on the platform.
As of Saturday, 7 April at 3:12 pm South African time, ‘Check On You’ registered 1,000,023 views.
Released on 1 March 2018, the song is a collaboration with Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer Davido (real name David Adedeji Adeleke).
Cassper Nyovest has already achieved this milestone with three other music videos.
The music video for ‘Tito Mboweni’ has already reached 3,3M views, ‘Baby Girl’ has hit the milestone last month reaching already 2,1M views, and ‘Destiny’ has gained 1,3M views. While his earlier hits such as ‘Doc Shebeleza’ and ‘Phumakim’ have amassed 2.3 million and 2.1 million views, respectively.
The 27-year-old rapper is signed to his own independent label and media company, Family Tree, established in 2014.
