Cassper Nyovest has put together the official music video for his latest single ‘Gets Getsa 2.0’ only two weeks after its release.
On 24 August 2018, rapper Cassper Nyovest announced that he is working on a new album and released a new single ‘Gets Getsa 2.0’. Only two weeks later, he has come out with an official music video for the single.
On Wednesday, 5 September Nyovest took to social media to share his plans to drop the music video by the end of the week. He wrote, “On set for #GetsGetsa20. Haven’t had so much fun on music video set in a while. Tryna drop it on Friday morning…”.
True to his word, the rapper published the music video on YouTube on Friday, 7 September 2018. He wrote on Twitter, “HERE IT IS!!!! The #GetsGetsa20 music video!!! RT to the world!!!.”
The YouTube video description reads,” Cassper Nyovest pays homage to Kwaito legend Doc Shebeleza through a sample on his new banger “Gets Getsa 2.0”. Produced my Gemini Major, the track oozes 90’s cool and is a great way to step into the warmer seasons.” Fans and critics alike have responded positively to the video, with many complimenting its high production value.
Nyovest later announced that he will appear live on SABC 1’s premier live music show, Live AMP on Friday night. He tweeted, “RT to spread the word!!! I am performing #GetsGetsa20 on.@liveamp tonight at 19:30 on SABC 1!!!!”.
