Cashbuild reports growth in revenue, with 2 211 cps dividend declared

Cashbuild has reported an increase in revenue, gross profit and operating profit, due to increased operating expenses, with a final dividend of 2 211 cents per share declared. 

Cashbuild released its annual results and dividend declaration for the year ended 27 June 2021 on Wednesday, 1 September 2021. The company reported an increase in revenue of 25 percent to R12.616 million, and an increase in gross profit of 34 percent to R3.390 million.

Operating profit increased by 100 percent to R1.039 million. Operating expenses are reported to have increased by 17 percent, contributing to the growth in operating profit. Additionally, basic earnings per share for the company increased by 149 percent to R2 932.6 million, with headline earnings per share reported to have increased by 152 percent to R2 872.6 million.

Headline earnings are said to have increased by 151 percent to R650 million. Stock levels, including those of new stores, increased by 22 percent, with net asset value per share increasing by 21 percent to 10 212 cents. Cashbuild’s Board is said to have declared a final dividend of 2 211 cents per share.
