Buffalo Coal has released a statement announcing the appointment of Rory Taylor as an independent non-executive director of the board and the Audit Committee Chairman.
Buffalo Coal released a statement on Wednesday, 20 January 2021, announcing a change in its board, following the appointment of a new independent non-executive director. Previously, the United States-based company had announced the resignation of former independent non-executive director and Audit Committee Chairman, Robert Francis.
The recent statement noted that Rory Taylor will be filling Francis’ position, stating, “Mr Taylor, a Canadian resident, is a chartered accountant (South Africa) and seasoned finance executive with a track record of capable financial leadership in mining companies. Over the past 10 years, he has held senior finance positions at Banro Corporation Ltd, Aura Minerals Inc. and Endeavour Mining Corporation.”
Speaking on the appointment, Buffalo Coal’s Chairman, Craig Wiggill was quoted as saying, “We are pleased that Rory has accepted our invitation to join the Buffalo Coal Board. Both our Board and management team look forward to working closely with him and taking benefit from both his experience and skills, which are closely aligned with Buffalo Coal’s requirements.”
His appointment will take effect from Friday, 22 January 2021.
