K-pop boy band BTS’s music video ‘Mic Drop’ from their album ‘Love Yourself: Her’ surpassed 200 million views on Thursday, 22 March.
A new record was set by South Korean boy band and K-pop sensation BTS, known also as Bangtan Boys (Hangeul: 방탄소년단).
Originally released last year in September on the album ‘Love Yourself: Her’, the song was released again in November as a remix by Steve Aoki and as of Friday, 23 March, at 8:33 am South African time, the music video for ‘Mic Drop’ has already registered 201,200,890 views on YouTube.
This is the seventh music video by the band to hit this milestone, after ‘DNA’, ‘Fire’, ‘Dope’, ‘Blood Sweat & Tears’, ‘Not Today’ and ‘Save Me’. Moreover, ‘Fire’ and ‘DNA’ have exceeded 300 million views.
