Actress Boity Thulo debuted a new all-natural hair look on Wednesday, 19 September 2018, sending out a series of online posts to her 2.1 million followers.
Thulo posted a short video clip of herself playing around with her new look. “Blow dried. Even though it still needs more treatment (castor oil), my hairline has finally decided to love me again,” she captioned the post.
Many of Thulo’s fans and followers praised her decision to go for a more natural look. Her posts thus sparked an online #naturalhair trend. Television personality Pearl Modiadie also commented on her post, writing a complimentary, “Looking so good!!!”.
Thulo has recently ventured into making music. She released her first single, ‘Wuz Dat’ featuring Nasty C, at the end of August. On Wednesday, Nasty C announced that Thulo would be joining him on his Ivyson Tour alongside other guest acts, A-Reece and Gemini Major.
Thulo responded to the announcement over social media. “When it’s time to flex…… we [are] pulling through to the IVYSON TOUR!!!”, she wrote, shortly before posting a photograph of herself with the 21-year-old ‘King’ hitmaker.
