Black Coffee to collaborate with prominent international act at Global Citizen Festival

The house DJ joins a star-studded line-up for the festival which will draw thousands of people to the FNB Stadium on Sunday, 2 December 2018. 

Organisers of the Global Citizen festival have confirmed that DJ Black Coffee will share the stage with a mystery artist at Sunday’s Global Citizen Festival.

The South African house DJ is the latest addition to the line-up of the festival which is set to take place in Johannesburg at the FNB Stadium on Sunday, 2 December 2018. The Global Citizen made the announcement on their Twitter page on the morning of Monday, 26 November 2018.

“It can’t get any better, right? WRONG! DJ and songwriter @RealBlackCoffee is joining the line-up for Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100. Sunday cannot come fast enough!” the tweet said. According to a report by Channel24 the performance will take place in the first half of the show.

The Dance again hit-maker is no stranger to international collaborations and has made music with the likes of Alicia Keys, Drake and David Guetta.

The festival is the first of its kind in South Africa and is a centenary celebration of the legacy of Nelson Mandela. Ticket holders will also enjoy performances by Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Cassper Nyovest, D’banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Kacey Musgraves, Pharrell Williams and Chris Martin, Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher, and Wizkid.
