This morning, 25 June 2018, Big Concerts announced that Ed Sheeran will be heading to South African shores for the first time
Big Concerts have confirmed that British crooner, Ed Sheeran will be performing live in South Africa next year. Sheeran will be touring South Africa for the first time. He will give two shows, the first at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on 23 March and then at the Cape Town Stadium on 27 March 2019.
Tickets go on sale in Cape Town from Thursday, 28 June at 9:00, while Gauteng fans will be able to purchase tickets from 9:00 on Friday, 29 June. Tickets may be purchased from computicket.com.
Ed Sheeran’s most recent album Divide (2017), has sold over 15 million copies worldwide. His hit single off the LP, “Shape of You” is the third biggest-selling single of all time in the UK and the most-streamed track on Spotify to date. Thanks to the massive success of the album, Ed was named the IFPI’s best-selling global recording artist for 2017.
