Benin, Estonia sign MOU to boost bilateral cooperation

Benin and Estonia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding during the official visit to Cotonou of Estonian president, Kersti Kaliulaid, from 4 December 2018 to 6 December 2018.

The two countries agreed to boost bilateral cooperation in technology, science and culture, promote economic and commercial exchanges, and encourage the presence of Estonian companies in Benin through an improved business climate.

They are also looking to cultivate a partnership of expertise for the implementation of digital schemes.

To this end, “the two governments have signed a memorandum of understanding between the two ministries in charge of Foreign Affairs, establishing periodic consultations between senior officials of the two states, alternately in Cotonou and Tallinn, or in international fora to assess and deepen their cooperation,” the Beninese government explained in a statement.
