Bathabile Dlamini took to Twitter to state that she hopes no women were involved in the blocking of her pension fund, in the hopes of benefitting from her former perks.
Former Minister of Social Development, Bathabile Dlamini took to Twitter on Monday, 1 March 2021, to continue to speak on the matter of her suspended pension fund. Reports from this past weekend confirmed that the former minister’s pension fund has been blocked, until she can pay back the R2 million for the cost of the private security she had reportedly hired for her family.
However, Dlamini has been speaking on the matter since last week on social media. One of her first tweets on the matter was her alleging that it is all part of a smear campaign against her. She also claimed that should anything happen to her, suggesting that her life might be in danger, that the public should be aware that the indefinite suspension of her pension fund was only the beginning.
The matter has polarised the public, considering Dlamini’s troubled past in government. Hence, the suggestion that she needs to only pay back the money is not an unfair ask, according to some.

I hope there is no woman involved in blocking my pension if it’s a woman she must go and cleanse herself .
