Following Banyana’s smooth passage into the semi-finals of this year’s 2018 COSAFA women’s championship, South Africa faces Uganda’s Crested Cranes at the 10,000-seater Wolfson Stadium in KwaZakhele, Port Elizabeth at 15h00 this afternoon.
Former player, current under 17’s coach and popular SuperSport TV Analyst Simphiwe Dludlu sent the team good wishes.

Banyana’s road to the semi-finals saw it first defeat Madagascar 2-1, then followed with a 1-0 win over Botswana before the 6-0 demolition of Malawi.
Uganda reached the last four after wins over Swaziland (4-3), Zimbabwe (2-1) and a draw versus Namibia (0-0).
Banyana look to continue its dominance of Southern Africa, after winning the tournament’s last edition in 2016, with a win in today’s semis.

The victorious team will meet the winner, between Zambia and Cameroon, in the 2018 final on Saturday, 22 September 2018 at the same venue.
