Bantu Holomisa took to Twitter to share his views on the ANC’s decision to reimburse the state for its “unusual” means of travelling to Zimbabwe, which sparked outrage last week.
The United Democratic Movement’s (UDM) Bantu Holomisa took to Twitter on Tuesday, 15 September 2020, to address the statement by the African National Congress (ANC) which touched on its use of state resources for party matters. The ruling party has committed to doing as Julius Malema suggested during his media briefing on Monday, 14 September 2020, by agreeing to pay for the costs incurred by the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) for the use of the aircraft.
Despite the party’s promise to reimburse the state, Holomisa was not appeased. In his tweet, he expressed that the money is not the issue at hand, but rather, the principle and initial deceit by the ANC. In his words, he stated that it is about “the attempted amount of cover-up and deceit by the authorities that be.”
