Babes Wodumo’s official music video for ‘Wololo’, a collaboration with West Inks’ Mampintsha, exceeded 8 million views on Tuesday, 17 April 2018.
South African singer, dancer, model and choreographer Babes Wodumo (real name Bongekile Simelane), also widely known as the ‘Queen of Gqom’, achieved a number not often achieved by many local artists on YouTube, with the official music video for her song ‘Wololo’, surpassing 8 million views on the platform.
As of Tuesday, 17 April at 7:35 pm South African time, ‘Wololo’ registered 8,000,837 views.
About ‘Wololo’
Published on 24 June 2016, the song is a collaboration with Mampintsha (real name Mandla Maphumulo), who is also Babes Wodumo’s boyfriend.
That is Babes Wodumo’s first music video to achieve this milestone, however there are a number of other music videos waiting to break the 8 million views barrier.
The 23-year-old artist is signed under West Ink Records owned by her Mampintsha.
