Babes Wodumo says Mampintsha has her Instagram login details

Bongekile Simelane says Mandla Maphumulo has her Instagram login details and is using her account to post comments on his account.

Bongekile Simelane, known to South Africa as Babes Wodumo, says former-boyfriend and manager Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo has her Instagram login details and is using her account to post comments on his Instagram posts, posing as her.

This comes after Mampintsha posted a picture of himself on his account, captioning it “#khulumaNamiBaba” (speak to me Father). A simple comment of six red heart emoticons can be seen posted via Babes Wodumo’s official account. Mampintsha has since deleted the picture off his Instagram account.

On Monday, 4 March 2019, a video that has since gone viral was published where Mampintsha was allegedly beating Babes Wodumo. Maphumulo was, on Tuesday 5 March 2019, arrested and was released on the same day with a R2 000. He later opened a counter-case of assault against Simelane.

Amid this legal battle, this Instagram interaction left South African social networks users puzzled. One Twitter used posted a screengrab of this interaction, captioning it “Guys, how [do you] explain this?”. He proceeded to tag a couple of Twitter accounts known for their social commentary.

To clarify, Babes Wodumo took to her official Twitter account, posting:

“I would like to put it on record that Mampintsha is using my Instagram account, without my consent, to comment on his statuses. He has my password including that of iCloud so he has access to my accounts. He posts to his account then logs into mine to comment,” she tweeted.
