Babes Wodumo shared on social media that she has been awarded a plaque of congratulations by her home town municipality.
Babes Wodumo has taken to Instagram to share that she has been awarded a plague of achievement by the eThekwini Municipality Parks, Recreation and Culture division. Wodumo shared a photograph of the glass plague earlier today, which is inscribed with congratulations for all “achievements and accolades”, made by the Gqom star.
To caption the photograph, Wodumo said, “Thank you eThekwini Municipality for this token of appreciation. It warms my heart that I’m appreciated and loved by my home town❤Many are appreciated when they are gone and not appreciated when they were waving the flag high and putting their hard work and time on their craft ..I’m so humbled 🙏”.
Babes Wodumo (real name Bongekile Simelane), was born and raised in in the township of Lamontville by her grandmother. Later she lived in a flat in the city centre of eThekwini with her parents. Her father, Bishop Welcome Simelane is the leader of the Lamontville Mount Zion Faith Mission.
