Angie Motshekga’s Department of Education has announced that her address has been moved Tuesday, with members of the press invited to the briefing.
Angie Motshekga was supposed to address the South African public on whether schools are going to open on the suggested, but controversial date of Monday, 1 June 2020, during a press conference on Monday, 18 May 2020.
However, the address was moved to a day later through a press release stating, “Minister of Basic Education, Ms. Angie Motshekga will give an update on the reopening of schools during a media briefing to be held on Tuesday, 19 May 2020.”
