Anele Mdoda will join a panel of fashion experts to discuss brand-building in the industry on 21 September 2018.
Seasoned radio and television presenter, Anele Mdoda is certainly knowledgeable on building brand identity, as she is one of the most recognisable South African celebrity personalities.
Over the course of her career, Mdoda has expanded her personal brand across various media platforms, all the while developing her unique sense of fashion.
Now, she will facilitate a panel discussion at the 2018 Durban Fashion Fair on 21 September 2018. The discussion is titled ‘Building a Brand in the Fashion Industry’, and will feature the likes of Dimeji Alara (Fashion Director of Elle South Africa), Nthato Mashishi (Celebrity stylist) and Mandy Swart (TFG Buying Manager at Markham), as speakers on the topic.
The 2018 Durban Fashion Fair will run from 19-22 September 2018 at the Durban ICC, in conjunction with the 20th annual Durban Business Fair. The theme for this year’s Fashion Fair is AfroFuturism as the eThekwini municipality strives to ‘re-establish the fashion industry, create employment opportunities and position Durban as an international fashion capital.’
Anele Mdoda began her career in radio at the University of Pretoria in 2004, where she was studying politics and international relations. She has hosted various radio shows on Highveld Stereo 94.7 and 5 FM since. Her television career peaked in 2016 when she landed the host role on SABC 3’s Real Talk with Anele.
