Altron Limited reports resilient performance in August 2021 results

Altron Limited has reported a resilient performance in its unaudited consolidated interim results for the six months ended 31 August 2021, with business revenue increasing to R3.54 billion.

On Monday, 25 October 2021, Altron Limited released its unaudited consolidated interim results and interim dividend for the six months ended, 31 August 2021. The group reported a resilient performance in the face of a challenging operating environment during the first half of the year.

Altron Limited reported an increase in revenue of 2 percent to R3.54 billion in August 2021. Operating profit increased by 71 percent to R173 million, while operating profit after capital items also increased by 12 percent to R119 million from R106 million in August 2020.

The cash generated from operations went up by 79 percent to R527 million, with working capital going down by R446 million, resulting in an improvement of 22 percent. The net profit after tax from Altron reportedly increased by 159 percent to R34 million. Headline earnings per share increased by 238 percent to 11 cents per share, and a gross interim dividend of 7 cents was declared.
