AKA’s hit single ‘Fela in Versace’ continues to dominate local charts, months after its initial release.
AKA (real name Kiernan Forbes) is looking to bag the song of the year title for his single, ‘Fela in Versace’. Since its initial release in mid-2018, the song has dominated local music charts, including Metro FM’s Top 40 chart.
On Monday, 17 September, AKA took to social media to celebrate the song’s inclusion on Spotify’s African Heat playlist.
The rapper wrote, “I want to send a huge Thank You to @Spotify for adding #FelaInVersace to the highly influential African Heat playlist…”.
Apart from his musical success, AKA is also on top of his game when it comes to his business deals and endorsements. He revealed last week that his Watermelon flavoured tipple by Cruz Vodka has now been issued as a luxury edition. Then, on Monday he wrote on Instagram, “Off to Cape Town to shoot the @cruzvodka TV commercial … is going to be a long HOT Summer!!!”.
The rapper will also be making an appearance at the twentieth annual Durban Business Fair as a guest speaker for the Youth Connect Summit. The summit will be hosted by Nomzamo Mbatha from 21 -22 September 2018 at the Durban ICC. AKA will speak on his business as a record producer on 21 September from 09:00.
