Afrox implements precautionary measures for operations during national lockdown
Industrial gas company, Afrox, has implemented various precautionary measures to ensure the safety of its staff and suppliers during the national lockdown, whilst fulfilling its duties as an essential services provider.
In a statement today, 1 April 2020, Afrox announced the various measures put forward by the company in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The company stated, “Afrox’s board of directors’ leadership philosophy and priority is the safety of its employees, and has embraced this approach fully during the lockdown. The Company has also put in place strict hygiene, social distancing and security measures to ensure the well-being of the Company’s employees that will be working during the lockdown.”
Afrox continues to work as an essential service provider by supplying state and private hospitals with medical oxygen. It will also continue to supply industries critical to food production and distribution with cold storage and liquefied petroleum gas.
The company has designated work to employees deemed to be a critical part of production and supply, and communicated with suppliers, contractors and customers to ensure that business operations continue throughout the lockdown.
Afrox has confidently stipulated that its strong balance sheet has ensured that it is capable of withstanding the financial strain during this month.
