ActionSA leader, Herman Mashaba has confirmed claiming victory in historic voting districts, such as Soweto, in the results of the local government elections and thanked voters for the support.
Leader of ActionSA, Herman Mashaba issued a few responses to the local government elections results on Tuesday, 2 November 2021. He stated that the initial results are looking promising and acknowledged that for a one-year-old political party, ActionSA is still able to win votes across some communities.
Mashaba acknowledged and confirmed that the party has managed to secure wins in historic voting districts, such as Soweto in Johannesburg, Stanger in KwaZulu-Natal, as well as Laudium and Centurion in Tshwane. Furthermore, the party also claimed suburbs in the south of Johannesburg, proclaiming that it has done this without even having its name on the ballot papers.
Mashaba further expressed gratitude by thanking all who supported the party throughout its journey, and those that had gone out and voted for ActionSA. He also stated that this is truly only the beginning for the party.
