ActionSA has stated that in commemoration of Freedom Day, it is set to launch voter registration campaigns for the upcoming primaries.
Herman Mashaba took to Twitter on Monday, 26 April 2021, to endorse a post by his newly formed political party, ActionSA. The party confirmed its intention for Freedom Day, which will see it launching voter registration campaigns for the upcoming primary elections.
The launch thereof will also function as an induction of its candidates. In selecting the candidates, ActionSA used a strategy that has been advocated for by One South Africa Movement’s (OSA) Chief Activist, Mmusi Maimane. The party encouraged communities to elect their own candidates. However, the candidate must be from the community it is running for office in, therefore, they can be better held accountable for service delivery.
The launch is set to take place on Tuesday, 27 April 2021, in Johannesburg, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni. The registration campaigns will commence at 10:00.
