ActionSA presents plans to address immigration in inner cities

ActionSA has presented its plans to address the problem of illegal immigration in SA, and ways to fix the immigration system in an effort to revitalise inner cities.

Leader of ActionSA, Herman Mashaba issued a statement on Wednesday, 20 October 2021, declaring that the party’s steadfast belief remains that the failure and chronic mismanagement of the country’s immigration system needs to be laid at the feet of what he described as the grossly incompetent African National Congress (ANC) government, and not foreign nationals. Mashaba, along with Gauteng Mayoral Candidates, Abel Tau and Tlhogi Moseki, presented the party’s plan to address immigration and revitalise South Africa’s inner cities.

Of their plans, ActionSA will conduct inter-governmental operations to improve services to legal foreign nationals. It will also address illegal immigration through inter-governmental relations by working closely with Home Affairs, National Treasury and other government entities. The party will use data collection for accurate population growth modelling and will demand that national government increase grant funding for inner-city developments and increase investment in law enforcement to maintain law and order.
