ActionSA has expressed its disappointment at the Electoral Court’s finding against it, and has vowed to ensure voters locate it on the ballot papers.
Leader of ActionSA, Herman Mashaba issued a statement on Friday, 22 October 2021, in which he confirmed that the party is disappointed at the news that the Electoral Court ruled against its application in the matter of ActionSA’s name not appearing on ballot papers next to its logo. Mashaba stated that while the party is disappointed at the outcome, it is dedicated to the rule of law and will respect the outcome of the court and the experience of the jurists who presided over the matter.
He also noted that while ActionSA’s focus has been on the campaign, it will now be shifting its attention to the extraordinary measures it will implement to ensure that voters are able to locate the party’s name on the ballot papers. The party concluded by expressing its deep appreciation to South Africans who rallied behind it in the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) battle.

We have received the disappointing news that the Electoral Court has found against our application.
ActionSA will remain on the ballot papers, but will only be identifiable by our logo and ward candidate name on the ward ballot papers. https://t.co/Za8BPFtTrr
