Herman Mashaba is commemorating one year of ActionSA by declaring its mission to ensure the removal of the ANC from national government in 2024.
Leader of ActionSA, Herman Mashaba delivered a speech on Sunday, 29 August 2021, at the celebration of the party’s first birthday in Orlando, Soweto. Mashaba recalled how ActionSA was birthed by the level 5 lockdown restrictions, and initially broadcast around the country from a humble studio in Johannesburg.
Mashaba made sure to emphasise to South Africans that the country can be fixed, and that it can get the country working again, as well as make the country safe again and abundant with opportunities. He further stated that he is referring to a country where the corrupt are hunted down mercilessly and where all could feel pride in a united national identity. The leader also stated that this could all be achieved and realised as the country’s destiny, and that in order for South Africa to succeed, the African National Congress (ANC) needs to fail.
Mashaba acknowledged how ActionSA was never prepared for how much South Africans would embrace it, resulting in it becoming a force to be reckoned with. He also noted that its mission is still to remove the ANC from national government in 2024, as this is the only way for work to begin in fixing the country.
