ACDP rejects proposed mandatory vaccinations in Parliament

The ACDP leader is opposing the proposed mandatory vaccination of citizens, asking Ramaphosa if he would be willing to defend the people’s right to not get vaccinated.

On Wednesday, 8 September 2021, Deputy President of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP), Wayne Thring shared a video of the leader of the party, Reverend Kenneth Meshoe addressing the issue of mandatory vaccinations in Parliament. The ACDP is opposed to the proposed mandatory vaccination of citizens.

Meshoe highlighted how people’s right to choose is being taken away by governments around the world who are forcing unwanted vaccinations on people. The leader made reference to Section 12 (2)(c) of the Constitution, granting citizens the right to bodily and psychological integrity, including the right not to be subjected to medical/scientific experiments without informed choice.

Meshoe also asked President Cyril Ramaphosa whether he is willing to help prevent a new form of apartheid subjecting unvaccinated people to discrimination and exclusion and defend South African’s constitutional right to not be vaccinated. The ACDP further stated that it rejects mandatory vaccination which opposes the country’s Constitution.
