Leader of the ACDP, Kenneth Meshoe has rejected the government’s threats to jail all Christians who plan to gather at church in groups for prayer, despite observing protocols.
On Wednesday, 30 June 2021, leader of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP), Kenneth Meshoe expressed the party’s rejection of the threats by the government that citizens will be jailed for attending church to pray in groups, despite observing all health protocols. Meshoe stated, “The ACDP rejects threats by government to put Christians in jail for going to church to pray in groups, while observing all health protocols, for this nation that desperately needs God’s intervention.”
All religious gatherings have been restricted to only 50 people under the new Alert Level 4 lockdown regulations, leaving groups disgruntled. Meshoe further expressed that he believes that there is an “anti-Christ” spirit operating in the nation, which is focusing on mainly opposing everything that is Godly, good and natural. He further went on to say that this very spirit needs to be challenged and resisted in Jesus’ name.
