The ACDP has expressed its frustration on behalf of the country and sectors affected by the Alert Level 4 lockdown restrictions, calling on the people to hold government accountable.
On Monday, 28 June 2021, President of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP), Reverend Kenneth Meshoe issued a response to the government’s implementation of the adjusted Alert Level 4 lockdown. The ACDP also rejected the lockdown, calling it a “one-size-fits-all approach.”
Meshoe feels that it is unacceptable that South African business owners in affected sectors of the economy need to suffer through another hard lockdown. He has asked questions on the healthcare system of Gauteng, which is under strain, but has also noted that the government needs to account for its criminal neglect of failing to provide safe and public healthcare.
Meshoe did not fail to mention the alleged corruption related to the COVID-19 relief funds, and the supposed failure of the government to procure and roll out safe vaccines on time. The ACDP leader has also emphasised how the party believes that all South Africans need to hold the government accountable for not doing what it needed to do.

We have consistently said that lives & livelihoods must be protected in @GovernmentZA's response to Covid, so we reject the one-size-fits-all approach as announced, yet again, last night in the move to the adjusted level 4 lockdown.
