ACDP opposes DA’s draft regulations on gender identity and orientation in schools

Published on

The ACDP has expressed its strong opposition of the DA’s draft regulations on gender identity and orientation in schools, further suggesting that the amendments go against the Bible and science.

The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) took to Twitter today, 26 April 2021, to express that it is strongly against the draft regulations brought forward by the Western Cape’s Education Department (WCED). The DA is proposing an amendment of the gender identity and orientation regulations

In response, the ACDP has rejected the suggested draft and has called on the public to rally behind it. Moreover, the party scheduled a picket this morning outside the Western Cape Provincial Parliament, where it reportedly handed over a memorandum to senior WCED officials.

The ACDP stated, “The DA is planning to actively mislead and confuse school kids in the WC with their draft regulations on gender identity and gender orientation. Biological sex is binary – male and female. Science confirms the Bible – always has and always will. Stand with us and reject the DA.”
