The ACDP is accusing the DA of having double standards, due to how it is dealing with Bonginkosi Madikizela’s allegedly unsubstantiated qualifications.
The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) took to Twitter on Friday, 16 April 2021, to call out the Democratic Alliance (DA) for its alleged double standards. This follows reports of the leading opposition party’s speculated quiet support of one of its Western Cape leaders, Bonginkosi Madikizela.
Madikizela was recently accused of being dishonest about his qualifications. Moreover, when the matter was brought to his attention, he reportedly became defensive and suggested that his educational background could be verified through an internet check. Eventually, it was reported that he could not rebut the irrefutable evidence. However, despite the controversy, the DA has not formally confirmed the removal of Madikizela from office yet, which has led to the ACDP accusing the DA of having double standards.
According to the ACDP, the party has previously shared numerous statements calling for some public servant to step down for offences that are supposedly less grievous than Madikizela’s. Therefore, the ACDP has advised the DA to take its own advice and axe Madikizela.
See the post below.
DA – the first to demand resignation/firing/expulsion when ANC appointees are caught falsifying their CV's with fake degrees – same with nepotism & cadre deployment.
Do/Will they apply their own standard to themselves?
Not before & not likely now. https://t.co/mv4XhyYBVh
