The Automobile Association has predicted that the fuel price might decrease in December 2018.
“The current data predicts a massive drop of R1.54 per litre for petrol, with diesel dropping by 92 cents and illuminating paraffin by 85 cents,” according to the AA.
The association is basing this forecast on unaudited mid-month fuel price data released by the Central Energy Fund.
“The main driver of lower prices has been an accelerating decline in international oil prices, which have trended downwards since the beginning of this month,” the AA said in a statement.
This year South Africans have been hit hard by fuel hikes.
Unleaded 93 octane has risen to almost R17 per litre for inland provinces and unleaded 95 Octane rose from R16, 08 in September 2018 to just over R17 in October 2018.
