Chris and Alexa made peace with one another, while Marko received devastating news
The latest episode of 7de Laan saw the Welman’s band together in support of Mariaan. Meanwhile, Marko was deeply upset by Emma’s bail revocation.
Here is an overview of all that happened:
Mariaan explained that Natalie had hit her over the head and adopted the escape plan for herself. Natalie was then of course gunned down by the police.
Mariaan begged Chris not to pressure her into any more escape plans. He vowed to acquire the best legal team in the country to ensure her release from prison.
Deiderick drew up a roommate’s contract for Olivia to sign.
Chris and Alexa made amends. He invited her to move back into the house.
Vanessa told Xander that Bonita had been transferred to a psychiatric prison hospital. He again refused to visit her. Vanessa confessed that she has forgiven Bonita for kidnapping Karmen.
Olivia delivered bad news to Nozi. As it turns out, Fikani bought group tickets to the Crimson Light concert and had invited Olivia and Rickus along. But, Olivia devised a plan to get Fikani and Nozi alone together.
Meanwhile, Fikani made plans with Alexa to attend the hospital’s annual fundraiser as a pair and then head off to a comedy show afterwards.
Marko was devasted on Thinus’ behalf to learn that Emma’s bail has been revoked. He turned to Esti for comfort.
Vanessa chose to spend the night at Xander’s apartment after much persuasion from his side and despite Charmaine’s warnings.

Technical analysis
This episode functioned as an exposition as it reflected the consequences of the prison narrative. The episode was therefore much lighter than of recent, as it showed a family reuniting and romance’s flourishing. How the writers will balance these mirrored storylines from here on should be interesting to watch.
