Bonita finally found out the truth about Daniel while Amanda struggled with a tough decision
The latest episode of 7de Laan saw the aftermath of the women’s prison fire.
Here is an overview of all that happened:
Justin was shocked to discover that Amanda had been pregnant. He pleaded with her to let him raise the baby.
Liefie enforced strict new rules to combat the unruly behaviour of her wards. Natalie was locked in a cell on her own while Mariaan, Bonita, Vivian and Emma shared a cell.
Vivian was distraught after finding out that Lips had had a heart attack during the fire.
Rickus was suspicious of Chris after seeing his packed suitcases.
Fikani confirmed that Daniel would be released from hospital. He also updated Xander on Bonita’s well-being after the fire. Xander asked Fikani not to give Bonita any news on Daniel.
Amorey comforted Willem after he opened up about losing his father.
Emma coached Bonita for her interrogation about the fire. Bonita stuck to her story that she did not start the fire.
Xander and Vanessa grew ever closer. They had dinner together after Xander spent the afternoon babysitting Karmen.
Olivia returned from her cruise. She spun a wicked story about battling pneumonia in the Drakensberg to Deiderick.
Mariaan told Bonita that Daniel is alive. Bonita nearly tore Vivian apart for having lied to her.
Amanda considered giving Justin a second chance. As she held baby Jasmine in her arms she became aware that the baby had gone cold. She immediately called for help.

Technical analysis
Fans have reacted quite positively to the development between Xander and Vanessa with many hoping that they will reunite.
On the other hand, many have expressed their upset over another baby being at risk of dying. As this seems to be a 7de Laan narrative trait, perhaps viewers should not be surprised but rather hopeful that a last minute miracle cure will be found as usual.
