Mariaan was outwitted by Vivian while Karmen was prepped for her bone marrow transplant
Last night’s episode of 7de Laan saw Mariaan thrown in the “Hole” thanks to Vivian’s schemes. On a more positive note, Vanessa finally agreed to let Karmen donate bone marrow for baby Daniel.
With all the drama going on in the show it can be difficult to keep up with the latest developments.
Here is an overview of all that happened in yesterday’s episode:
Xander and Vanessa visited Daniel in the hospital.
Vivian confessed to another inmate that she had lied to Bonita about Daniel’s death. She also sought to seek revenge on Natalie and Mariaan for telling Liefie that she had plans to escape.
Mariaan pressured Natalie to come up with an escape plan as soon as possible. Vivian grew suspicious of all their secretive whispering.
Natalie devised an escape plan while making toy dolls for an orphanage. She planned to sneak Mariaan out of the prison by stuffing her inside Dora’s old memory foam mattress.
Karmen was prepped for her bone marrow transplant.
Vivian forced Mariaan to spill the beans about her partnership with Natalie. After hearing the reward amount Chris had offered, Vivian decided to take over the escape plan operation.
Amanda called Justin but was unable to tell him about their baby.
Alexa snapped at Fikani for not understanding what she is going through at the moment.
Amorey went to visit Mariaan in prison. Mariaan refused to see her thinking that she was Alexa.
The prison was in darkness after a power outage. Vivian took the opportunity to have Mariaan committed to solitary confinement.
Bonita awoke in the middle of the night to stroke Amanda’s pregnant belly. She referred to the baby as Daniel and also mistook Vivian for Charmaine.

Technical analysis
7de Laan fans were surely relieved to find out that baby Daniel is still alive. Including the viewers in this dramatic irony is a clever move as it bolsters support and empathy for Bonita.
