Bonita was caught just in time and Connie finally confessed her opinion to Andre about his cooking skills

Friday’s episode of 7de Laan ended on a major cliff-hanger. Here is an overview of all that happened;

Overview

Xander and Vanessa found Bonita just in time to save Karmen from a dodgy bone marrow harvesting. Vanessa vowed to kill Bonita if she ever come near Karmen again.

Matrone convinced Hilda to come away with her on a vacation to take her mind off the Welman drama.

Olivia and Diederick continued to feud over the pettiest niggly habits. Olivia sought help from Nozi who suggested that she cry to get her way over Diederick. Olivia played the weepy wench and came out victorious.

Xander refused to pay Bonita’s R30, 000 bail bill. He reminded her that if Daniel passes away, that she will be to blame.

Connie had a eureka moment as Matrone walked into the boutique. Connie invited Matrone over for Andre’s beef stroganoff. Matrone told him that it was inedible and offered him private cooking classes. Connie at last also confessed her feelings about his cooking abilities.

Amorey and Rickus assured Alexa that she is still a big part of their family despite their father’s anger towards her for calling the police on Mariaan.

Bonita was locked up behind bars in a jail cell adjacent to Mariaan’s. There Bonita discovered a shocking sight in the form of a heavily pregnant Amanda.

Technical analysis

Ending the episode on a cliff-hanger is definitely a sure way to keep audience’s expectant of more for the week to come.

Furthermore, giving viewers a glimpse of Mariaan’s new life behind bars is a nice teaser and a great way to tie in multiple story lines.
